Panel Construction/Moisture Resistance:
Tempered Plyron® is constructed of tempered hardboard laminated to Douglas Fir/Hemlock plywood. It is an industrial panel consisting of tempered hardboard (like Masonite) laminated to one or both sides of a plywood core. It is primarily used for high-impact, wear-resistant applications, including durable workbench tops, theater/stage flooring, mezzanines, shelving, cabinetry, and fixtures. Made in the USA.
- Industrial Work Surfaces: Highly favored for workbench tops, assembly tables, and jigs because the hardboard surface is smooth, slick, and durable.
- Stages and Flooring: Commonly used for [theater stage flooring] and backstage, as it is durable, can be painted black, and individual sheets are easily replaced.
- Shelving and Storage: Used for [industrial shelving], [partitions], and heavy-duty storage.
- Cabinetry and Fixtures: Ideal for [cabinet carcasses], [displays], and [casework] that require a tough, smooth surface.
- Mezzanines: Suitable for [mezzanine decks] due to its high strength and stiffness.
- If using tape, only use Blue Painters tape – nothing else. Anything else will mar the surface.
