Enhanced Rift Cut Walnut has a very fine grain that appears as pencil lines tightly drawn side by side. American Black Walnut has been a standard in furniture and panel manufacturing as well as the standard for gun stocks for many years. Its uses cover everything from boat building to musical instruments.

Rift Cut – The quarter log is mounted on a modified lathe to produce a cut that crosses both the growth rings and the rays at a slight angle, resulting in a relatively straight grain effect that minimizes the bold ray flake appearance found in quarter sliced wood.
