Classic Core assemblies are assembled with soy or PVA technology incorporating either added formaldehyde (ULEF) CARB and EPA TSCA Title VI compliant thin MDF components or are offered under Columbia's PureBond® brand with no-added formaldehyde pMDI crossbands for additional assurance related to formaldehyde emissions.

ULEF Classic Core and formaldehyde-free PureBond® Classic Core are compliant with the USGBC® LEED® Composite Wood Evaluation with emissions verified by independent, third-party lab as meeting CARB, TSCA requirements.
