3/4" – 4x8 Birch Natural Panel - Rotary Cut - E3 - Veneer Core

This 7-ply Natural Birch plywood has birch veneer on the face. This panel is made in the USA.

Depending on the species, Birch sapwood appears light, with a cream-like or white color. The heartwood may be light reddish-brown or dark brown tinged with red. The close, straight grain is finely textured and uniform in appearance, with the grain more prominent in Yellow Birch than Paper Birch. On occasion, some Birch species will present a curly grain.

This plywood panel has putty filled knots and is an economy domestic panel. It would be used for utility cabinets, lamination or used in typically nonvisible applications.

Rotary Cut - An entire log is placed into a lathe and rotated in uninterrupted contact with the lathe knife, resulting in a cut that roughly parallels the growth rings to produce a bold and often variegated grain pattern. The resulting ribbon of veneer is clipped to usable widths, including sheets called whole piece or one-piece face that will cover an entire 4x8 sheet of plywood. The narrower leaves that will later be spliced together to cover any number of size sheets.
