How to Choose SIGN BOARD
|
SignReady UV is prefinished, high gloss, vinyl letter/Ink Jet/paint ready, MDO plywood with a 5 year limited warranty. It is an excellent surface for wide layout digital printers, vinyl letters and sign paints.
Panel Construction and Moisture Resistance:
SignReady UV is constructed of a proprietary, Urethane-acrylic, cross-linked, UV cured finish applied to Medium Density Overlaid hardwood faced plywood with Douglas Fir/Hemlock inner plys. It is manufactured with a 2 Step layup, a waterproof glue bond and meets APA PS 1-07 specifications. Made in the USA.
Working Faces/Treatment:
SignReady UV is available with 1 or 2 working faces. Panels with a single working face are provided with an MDO or primed MDO backer. It includes in a solid, high gloss white finish with a reflectance of 75 to 85. The urethane-acrylic, cross-linked, UV cured finish consists of three thermo-set base coats and 2 cross-linked, UV cured top coats. It is a hard, durable and chip & scratch resistant finish.
Working Edges/Treatment:
Edges are factory sawn & painted to match the face.
Fill, prime and top coat all exposed wood with at least two coats of acrylic, polyurethane or polyurethane-acrylic primers and paints or exterior grade caulking.
Applications:
Vinyl, digital print and painted signs for longer duration applications.
Furniture, cabinets, displays and fixtures, shelving and partitions.
Truck body and trailer liners/doors.
Limitations:
SignReady UV must be edge sealed for exposure in exterior applications. For structural applications, consult the load tables or other data.
