Columbia has converted all of its hardwood plywood and particleboard facilities to a proprietary formaldehyde-free manufacturing system called PureBond^TM.

Cost-competitive with similar urea formaldehyde-made panels, Columbia's PureBond^TM veneer-core hardwood plywood is derived naturally, then enhanced with a proprietary resin, giving it particularly strong bonding and water-resistance qualities.

Since April 2005 more than 20 million PureBond^TM panels have been produced for use in the manufacture of cabinetry, furniture and casegoods for residential, commercial and institutional applications throughout North America.
